Meursault `Les Grand Charrons` 2016/2020, Domaine Michel Bouzereau
£62.95 per bottle
ABV 13.5%
Tasting Notes
This distinguished grower creates rich and voluptuious Meursault, exotic with the bouquet of toasted hazelnuts, orange blossom and butterscotch yet it is elegant and deeply complex. There is a captiviating palate of white fruits with sublime honeyed richness with a hint of toasted oak.
Food
Will accompany a wide variety of seafood dishes including crab, lobster and salmon and many white meat and poultry dishes.
Producer
The domaine is in the village of Meursault, and Michel Bouzereau`s son, Jean-Baptiste, took over in 1999 and is in charge of making the seventeen wines from the 18 hectare estate. He has respected his father`s more traditional practices but has instilled a fresher, livelier element to the wines, which only enhances their appeal.
